100 Joer - Les Aigles

A century of scouting, distilled into one book. "100 Joer – Les Aigles" is a commemorative publication celebrating 100 years of the scout group Les Aigles in Rollengergronn (1925–2025). The book documents a living community through campfires, hikes, meetings, and the friendships that shaped generations. The visual concept centers on a tactile, object-like book with a fabric hardcover and stitched red badge, evoking a treasured scout blanket. The cover features a dense system of turquoise line illustrations referencing scouting gear, rituals, and symbols, creating a playful "hidden object" field of memories. Inside, the layout combines historic photographs, reportage, facsimiles, comics, and long-form texts. Strong color blocks and clear typography guide readers through different decades while keeping the narrative accessible. The project was realized in close collaboration with Julie Wagener (illustration), Carole Theisen (editing), and the Les Aigles team.
